Special Olympics New Jersey Fundraiser
Hinkle, Prior & Fischer was out in force supporting the 9th annual Special Olympics New Jersey, Evening of Chance fundraiser. We had a wonderful time and we are proud to be one of the presenting sponsors of this year’s event.

This summer (2015), JESPY House honored Herbert Hinkle, Esq. by bestowing its Champion Award in recognition of Herb’s commitment to disability services in New Jersey. Hinkle, Prior & Fischer was, and continues to be, instrumental in securing services and supports for many of the clients served by JESPY. It was particularly gratifying to see so many of our clients on hand to help celebrate.

Hinkle, Prior & Fischer founding partner, Herbert D. Hinkle, has been honored with a lifetime achievement award at the organization’s Autism New Jersey 50th Anniversary Gala. The gala, which was held at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City New Jersey, is a signature event of ANJ’s on-going 50th Anniversary Campaign. Hinkle, Prior & Fischer is proud to be the very first donor to ANJ’s 50th Anniversary Campaign with a leadership gift of $50,000 to ANJ.

Honors and Recognitions
As we celebrate forty years of advocacy on behalf of individuals with disabilities and their families, Herbert D. Hinkle is being recognized by the New Jersey Council on Developmental Disabilities with their highest honor, the Lifetime Achievement Advocacy Award. Herb was recognized for his lifetime of dedication and advocacy including a number of precedent setting and individual cases protecting the rights of individuals with disabilities.

Hinkle, Prior & Fischer was recently honored by The Arc of New Jersey for the firm’s ongoing commitment to advocacy.
Herbert D. Hinkle, Esq., was honored by Rutgers Camden School of Law for outstanding service to the Planning Estates Project, the school’s pro bono project which provides estate planning services to residents of Camden, and for his support of law students who do outreach to the Camden public schools with a summer scholarship for their work. Additionally, the Rutgers law school student body recognized his contributions in the classroom by naming him the Adjunct Professor of the Year for 2013.
Andrew Linenberg, Esq. has been appointed to the Special Needs Committee of Jewish Family and Children’s Services of South Jersey (JFCS). There, he will be working to support the organization’s outreach and services to seniors and those with a range of disabilities. JFCS, located in Cherry Hill, provides comprehensive, caring social service to those of all ages, faiths and economic backgrounds who live in Camden, Burlington and Gloucester Counties in Southern New Jersey. “I am deeply honored to have this opportunity to give back to the community, and be part of an organization with such an important mission,” said Linenberg.
Evelina Padilla, Esq., has been appointed to serve on the board of Advocates for Children of New Jersey (ACNJ) in Newark.
Maria Fischer, Esq. has been appointed to the board of directors of Special Olympics NJ.
Herbert D. Hinkle has been appointed to the board of PLAN, NJ, where Ira M. Fingles also serves as board member emeritus.
Team Hinkle, Prior & Fischer Raises Over $3,000 for Special Olympics New Jersey – A team of 52 employees, family members and friends from the firm took part in Special Olympics’ Jingle All the Way ‘fun run’ to raise money for Special Olympics New Jersey. Together, they collected over $3,000 in donations. The team was led by Maria Fischer, an attorney with the firm whose daughter, Traci, is an SONJ athlete.
“As a long-time corporate partner with SONJ, we are extremely proud to have such a large turnout for this year’s event. Two of our employees have children who are Special Olympics athletes. They, along with the other SONJ athletes on our team, are an inspiration to us all and serve to remind us of our firm’s mission,” said S. Paul Prior, Esq., a partner with the firm. Hinkle, Prior & Fischer is proud to support ASAH, New Jersey’s network of private schools serving students with disabilities and their families. As part of the effort, the firm will help ASAH launch an initiative designed to support effective transition from school to adult life, with workshops, IEP clinics, webinars and other services at ASAH member schools statewide. This spring, Hinkle, Prior & Fischer donated more than 3,000 copies of its booklet, Health Care Advocacy Across the Lifespan, to SPAN, the Statewide Parent Advocacy Network. This is the second printing of the popular booklets.
Herbert D. Hinkle, Esq. and his wife Patricia have established an ongoing scholarship at Rutgers School of Law, Camden for students who participate in public interest work involving people with disabilities and/or estate planning. Mr. Hinkle is an adjunct professor of law at Rutgers Law School, Camden, where he teaches trusts and estates, and estate planning.
